Nashville Medical News: MissionPoint’s population health model saves STH millions
According to Nashville Medical News, MissionPoint Health Partners’ population health model has saved Saint Thomas Health in Nashville millions of dollars in healthcare costs over the past four years.
The news comes soon after the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services released a national healthcare analysis that said healthcare spending per person would exceed $10,000 annually for the first time in 2016.
“Companies like Saint Thomas Health experienced an average 8.9 percent increase in healthcare expenses this year,” MissionPoint Chief Clinical and Innovation Officer Jordan Asher, MD, told Nashville Medical News. “We saved almost $750,000 for Saint Thomas in 2015 – our fourth year of working with the organization – and have saved the organization $11.2 million total over our four year engagement.”
